The reverse depicts golden nuggets resting at the bottom of a watercourse, symbolising the moment of discovery. At the top are the inscriptions: "GOLD RUSH" – the name of the coin, and "KLONDIKE 1896" – referencing the year and location of the famous gold discovery.
 
Obverse:
The obverse portrays a classic scene of miners searching for gold, capturing the spirit of the Klondike Gold Rush.
